House rules

Last updated July 2026

Xenia works because everyone in the club was vetted the way you were, and everyone treats each other’s homes and time with care. These are the rules that keep it that way.

What membership means

Every member is interviewed, referenced, and background checked. Everyone here also set up a real profile, opened an adventure of their own, and made the promise above. A person decides; no algorithm scores anyone.

Even so, use your own judgment, the same as any time you meet someone new. Tell us if something feels wrong and a person will read it.

On an adventure

  • Show up when you say you will. A spot you’ve taken is a spot someone else couldn’t.
  • Everyone pays their own way.
  • Guests usually bring their host a small token of appreciation: the coffees, or something from their own neighborhood.
  • No money changes hands between members. Ever.
  • Share anything a host should know when you ask, not when you arrive.
  • Respect the host’s space, their rules, and the other guests.

A spot is a spot

Hosting any adventure earns exactly one spot per guest you welcome, a quiet morning walk counts the same as a whole day out. Spots can’t be bought, only earned by hosting your own. How grand it is has never been the point.

Cancellations & no-shows

An ask that was never confirmed isn’t a cancellation: withdraw it, or let it be declined, and nothing was ever spent. Asking holds no spot. For a CONFIRMED adventure: plans change, if you can’t make it, cancel as early as you can so the host can plan. Cancel more than 24 hours before the adventure and it unwinds cleanly: your spot comes back to you and the host’s comes back to them. Inside 24 hours the spot stays spent, the host has already planned and prepared around you. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows put your membership at risk. If a host cancels on you, or someone doesn’t show, flag it and we’ll make it right (your spent spot is returned).

Zero tolerance

Harassment, discrimination, threats, or any behavior that makes someone feel unsafe ends a membership. Report it and we act.
